The Texas Children’s Hospital Orthopedics & Sports Medicine programs care for infants, children, teens and young adults at all of our hospital campuses (Texas Medical Center, West Campus, The Woodlands and North Austin) and Specialty Care clinic locations (Bellaire, Clear Lake, Cy-Fair, Kingwood, Kirby, and Sugar Land). 

We treat everything from minor fractures and sports injuries to complex disorders and congenital conditions, ensuring the highest level of individualized care for patients. Your child’s care and long-term health are our priority. Our physicians take time with patients and parents to answer questions and discuss treatment options.

With more than 30 Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers, Texas Children’s Orthopedics & Sports Medicine cares for children across Texas and beyond. We have a dominant presence in the southeastern United States and a well-established international patient program. 

Our physicians and advanced practice providers not only treat patients at Texas Children’s Hospital, but they are also faculty members at Baylor College of Medicine. This affiliation allows our physicians to be involved in teaching medical students and performing pediatric orthopedic research. For parents, this means you can be guaranteed our physicians are in the know and treats each patient using the most up-to-date techniques.

Our physicians hold leadership roles in multiple professional organizations such as Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SICOT), Scoliosis Research Society (SRS)American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Texas Orthopaedic Association (TOA), Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine (PRISM) and many more.

Orthopedic Care - Available on Saturday in Houston

The specialized orthopedic care at Texas Children’s Hospital is available during convenient Saturday hours. Patients can be seen by an advanced practice provider, specialty-trained in pediatric orthopedic injuries/conditions, during Saturday morning hours at Texas Children’s Specialty Care Upper Kirby.

An ideal option for busy families, the clinic is open from 8 a.m. to noon to treat routine and urgent cases. Services provided include:

  • Fracture evaluation (including X-ray)
  • Injury evaluation (knees, ankles, arms, wrists, etc.)
  • Routine injury follow-up, at the discretion of your surgeon/physician
  • Routine surgical follow-up, at the discretion of your surgeon/physician

Appointments and walk-ins welcome. Please note not all conditions will be seen during this clinic.
