Texas Children’s Neurofibromatosis Clinic provides specialty clinical care for children with a diagnosis of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). If the patient has not been formally diagnosed with NF1 or you have another genetic diagnosis, they must first have an appointment in our general genetics clinic.

The primary goal of the Gender Medicine program is to enhance quality of life for children with disorders of sexual differentiation. Because genetic mechanisms contribute to numerous renal diseases, especially in childhood, our Renal Genetics Clinic works to provide the most accurate molecular diagnoses possible. Although, there is not yet a cure for most of the genetic disorders, therapeutic measures can be given if the right diagnosis is known.
