Established in 1984 as a cooperative effort between the Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics and the Texas Children's Newborn Center, the Desmond Clinics provide long-term developmental monitoring for neonates and infants with high potential for developmental disabilities. Our team includes a broad range of interdisciplinary providers encompassing multiple medical subspecialities including developmental pediatrics, pediatric neurology, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and pediatric physical medicine & rehabilitation. The clinic emphasizes a truly interdisciplinary approach and coordinates care with multiple allied health professionals including pediatric neuropsychologists, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, and nurses.
