Cancer and Hematology Center announces new Endowed Chair

Dr. Michael Taylor, the Director of Texas Children’s Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Program, has been appointed the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Chair of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.
“This endowed chair will further accelerate our drive to develop new, effective and life-changing cures for every child. We are very fortunate to be able to recognize Dr. Taylor’s world-leading research excellence, and his team’s contributions to our understanding of the deadliest pediatric brain cancers—contributions that are leading the way to new, targeted and safer therapies,” says Dr. Susan Blaney, Director of Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center.

At Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Taylor is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics – Section of Hematology-Oncology, and the Department of Neurosurgery. He is also a Scholar at the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT).
