Dr. Sanjay Deshpande is a Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist. His extensive education and training include management of a variety of infectious diseases in children with complicated and resistant childhood TB infections, dengue, typhoid, malaria, tropical infections and ICU infections. His expertise lies in management of difficult infections, prolonged fever syndromes, and management of resistant infections and antibiotic stewardship in the ICU setting.
His overseas experience and training include management of children with congenital immunodeficiency, immunosuppression post bone marrow transplant, infections in children with hematological or solid organ malignancy, and complicated COVID-19 infections. These experiences include participating in COVID-19 vaccine trials, pediatric infectious diseases and transplant ID at renown hospitals in India and UK.
He has several publications in national and international journals and is a board review member for PID journals such as Pediatric Infectious Diseases Journal, Pediatric Infectious Disease and Karnataka Pediatric Journal.
