Volunteers augment the mission of Texas Children's in their support of patients and families. Volunteers make a commitment to volunteer once a week for 2-3 consecutive hours for a minimum of 6 months. Prospective volunteers are strongly encouraged to consider the time commitment, consistency and dedication necessary to make the volunteer experience beneficial to both you as a volunteer and to the patients, families and hospital staff we serve.
While we do not offer opportunities for clinical exposure or shadowing hospital staff, volunteers support patients, families and staff through various service assignments.
