What to Expect from the Cardiac Rehab Program

We provide our patients with a comprehensive health assessment that includes several factors:

  • Medical evaluations to monitor heart health and progress
  • Exercise testing to create an individualized exercise program
  • Risk factor assessment of lifestyle factors 

Our patients receive supervised, one-on-one exercise training:

  • Personalized exercise plan
  • Safety monitoring of continuous heart rate, blood pressure and rate of perceived exertion 

Education is a key component:

  • Heart health information
  • Lifestyle modification guidance
  • Stress management techniques 

Other details:

  • 12 to 16 weeks, 2 sessions per week
  • In-person aerobic, resistance and flexibility exercise sessions
  • Located in Legacy Tower on Main Campus, parking is provided each session
  • Patients are provided with:
    • Home exercise equipment (resistance bands, yoga mat)
    • Home fitness monitoring equipment
  • Every 30 days, we reassess the patient’s progress and address goals.
