Sanchez recognized as quality improvement champion

Dr. Josie Fernandez Sanchez, assistant professor of pediatrics – hematology / oncology, was one of three clinicians announced by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) as its inaugural quality improvement champions. Sanchez worked with colleagues to standardize ED management of anemia due to heavy menstrual bleeding. The three honorees will speak the ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition in December in San Diego.
