Chief Human Resources Officer 

Corey Jackson, Chief Human Resources Officer, oversees all human resource functions supporting talent management across the Texas Children’s enterprise. Jackson most recently served as chief human resources officer at UCSF, where he led the Human Resources organization for both UCSF Health and campus as senior vice president and associate vice chancellor respectively.  

He is a strategic leader with expertise in strengthening a brand’s ability to attract, develop and retain talent necessary to be a leader in patient care and to make the organization the best place to work. His broad background encompassing health care, government, law, sports, diversity, equity, and inclusion has one common thread: creating opportunities to help people have better lives.  

His career in public service began when he received a public service scholarship and fellowships at the University of Miami, School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. He earned his Bachelor of Science at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech).  

Jackson is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar and Maryland State Bar, Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and also is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and Certified Benefits Professional (CBP). He is affiliated with World at Work – The Total Rewards Association, and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
