Afsheen Davis is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Texas Children’s. Originally from the Dallas area, she attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate education and then obtained her law degree from University of Houston Law Center along with a Masters in Public Health from the UT School of Health Sciences in Houston. Afsheen began at Texas Children’s in 2011 as an Assistant General Counsel for Healthcare Operations. Today, as Senior Vice President, Afsheen oversees all legal, risk, compliance, audit and governance for the Texas Children’s health care system comprised of 5 entities and over 15,000 workforce members. She also serves as Corporate Secretary for the Board. Afsheen has been honored for her dedicated service by the Board of Trustees and CEO as the 2018 Texas Children’s Catalyst Leader finalist, and in 2020 she was designated a “Woman Who Means Business” by the Houston Business Journal. Afsheen was also selected as the 2024 Magna Stella Texas General Counsel of the Year. Afsheen serves as a Trustee to Harris Health, serving the Harris County community with her healthcare experience. In her personal life, Afsheen is a proud wife and mother to four children and enjoys cooking, yoga, attending sporting events, and dinners with friends.
