Location: We are currently recruiting for open GHC positions in Tanzania and Botswana. Application packets are due January 31, 2023.

Compensation: Competitive salary plus housing and a comprehensive benefits package. New recruits will be hired as faculty (instructors).

Position Description: Members of the Global Health Corps (GHC) work at sites across Sub-Saharan Africa to provide vital care to children and their families, while also training health professionals throughout their country of assignment. As a member of the GHC, physicians will be involved with program implementation, incorporating country and donor guidelines within the clinic setting. Members of the GHC will be involved in treating a wide variety of diseases and conditions impacting child health and survival globally, such as tuberculosis, malaria, malnutrition, peri-natal conditions, cancer, and sickle cell anemia, in addition to HIV. Responsibilities will include seeing patients and their family members in clinic, training workers in the clinic, outreach work involving treatment and training in regions surrounding the clinic, and other clinic related duties as assigned. There will likely be research collaboration opportunities within the clinic setting, as well.

Qualifications:

  • Board eligible or board certified pediatrician
  • Proficiency in general pediatrics, Med-Peds, or family medicine
  • Familiarity with general HIV care and treatment
  • Experience working in resource-limited settings
