Personal Statement
Valerie Parrish, MPAS, PA-C is a Physician Assistant in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. She focuses her care on childhood, adolescent and young adult hip disorders, hip preservation, scoliosis, and fracture care. She works with Dr. Scott Rosenfeld as part of the Texas Children’s Hip Preservation Program. Her major area of interest is developmental dysplasia of the hip. She is involved with patient care during all aspects of their treatment, from initial and follow up clinic visits, to first assisting in the operating room and providing care in the inpatient setting postoperatively. Her clinical philosophy is to put the patient first and listen to his or her needs while providing a team-based approach to obtain the best possible outcome. Valerie takes great pride in her work at Texas Children’s Hospital, and strives to provide exceptional care to her patients and their families.
