Terry Armstrong is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC) and a certified pediatric oncology nurse (CPON) at Texas Children’s Cancer Center where she sees patients on the Pharmacology Team. She has been a dedicated nurse with 30 years of experience and has hematology-oncology experience in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. As a nurse practitioner at Texas Children’s Cancer Center, Terry provides clinical care for patients and families engaged in oncologic clinical trials, serving as their primary clinical resource and advocate throughout the research process
As an Instructor for Baylor College of Medicine, she has educated nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, MD fellows, and physicians by helping them gain and develop procedural skills. She is also involved with the development of oncology practice standards as well as Beacon (EMR) treatment plans.
She is certified by the Texas State Board of Nursing, board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC) and by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) as a Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse (CPON).
