Get to know Norma I. Castillo, APRN, FNP-C
Norma Castillo is a family nurse practitioner who works with the Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic Program, which includes the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile and the SuperKids Mobile Clinic. The mobile clinics are funded by Texas Children’s Hospital and Texas Children’s Pediatric Associates with help from philanthropic donations from the community. One important goal of the Mobile Clinic Program is to provide health care in the form of immunizations, regular check-ups, and urgent care visits to non-insured children. The second goal of the Mobile Clinic Program is to provide access to both insurance and a medical home. Norma’s clinical interests include providing care for the underserved as well as advocating for these patients. Her research interest includes improving HPV knowledge and vaccination rates in underserved high school students.
