Personal Statement
Dr. Mohammad Abu-Arja completed his pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training in 2024. Before starting his fellowship training, he completed his medical school training at the University of Jordan. Next, he completed his masters in global health and public policy as a Chevening Scholar at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. Finally, he completed his pediatrics residency training at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in New York.
His interest in hematology/oncology started during his year as a research scholar at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Ohio, where he was involved in clinical research in the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology section. He has a particular interest in neuro-oncology and global oncology but keeps his mind open and looks forward to all aspects of training at Texas Children's Hospital.
He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics.
