Mervin (Reggie) Nunez, MMS, PA-C is a physician assistant in Department of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. He began his career in 2006 in Critical Care working in the pediatric ICU at TCH. He joined the Pediatric Plastic Surgery team in 2013 where his responsibilities include seeing patients in an outpatient clinic, rounding and managing care for inpatients, responding to both inpatient and emergency room consults, and first assisting in the operating room. His interests include management of patients with fractures, injuries of the hand, congenital hand deformities, brachial plexus injuries and craniofacial anomalies (such as cleft lip and palate).
Reggie received his undergraduate degree in Respiratory Care from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He went on to earn his Master of Physician Assistant Practice degree from Midwestern University at Downers Grove in Illinois. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and medically licensed through the Texas Medical Board
