Dr. Mysore’s goal is to provide highest level of compassionate patient-centered care for children with liver diseases. As a board-certified transplant hepatologist, she works closely with the multidisciplinary transplant team to give world-class treatment based on cutting-edge medical knowledge for children both pre- and post-liver transplantation. She actively collaborates with divisions of Immunology and Infectious Disease at Texas Children’s Hospital to improve care through research in chronic liver diseases and transplantation.

Research interests
Dr. Mysore’s laboratory is housed in the William Shearer Center for Human Immunobiology. Her research is focused on defining mechanisms of immune dysfunction in children with chronic liver diseases and identifying modifiable factors to alter their infection risk. She actively collaborates with divisions of Immunology and Infectious disease at Texas Children’s Hospital. Her work is relevant to children suffering from liver diseases including biliary atresia, Alagille syndrome, idiopathic neonatal hepatitis; progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC) and numerous other chronic liver disorders, pre-and post-liver transplantation.
She also conducts and mentors’ trainees such as residents and fellows in clinical research projects pertinent to children undergoing transplantation. She actively collaborates with Transplant Surgery and Critical Care teams on research to improve care for children with liver diseases.
