Research interests
I helped found the Pediatric Research Collaborative on Critical Ultrasound (PeRCCUS) within the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators (PALISI) research network. This is a multi-institutional international collaborative studying the education and use of Critical Care Ultrasound. I am enthusiastic about ultrasound and can see it used responsibly as a way for understanding and managing of critically ill adults and children. In this arena I have studied the various ways it impacts patients, and am always interested in projects on how we can optimally apply it towards providing our patients the best care.
