Get to know Craig Daniels, BSc (Hon), PhD
Dr. Craig Daniels is a PhD trained scientist, who currently supports research that uses tools from human genomics and mouse models to further our understanding of the biology of pediatric brain tumors—medulloblastoma and ependymoma.
He is trained in techniques from multiple disciplines including cell biology, biochemistry, molecular and cancer biology, which allow a better understanding of biological mechanisms and health issues. Dr. Daniels has extensive experience in writing and editing successful grants, fellowship/scholarship applications, scientific manuscripts, book chapters, editorials, and progress reports.
He uses his scientific knowledge, writing skills and business expertise to foster the development and effectiveness of an academic environment. As someone who is comfortable in both administration and at the bench, he has a great deal to offer toward the development of translational cancer research.
Dr. Daniels overarching goal is to support research aimed at generating novel therapies to effectively treat patients suffering from devastating malignancies.
He is a member of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Program at Texas Children's Hospital and the laboratory of Michael Taylor MD, PhD.
