The RNA In Situ Hybridization Core performs high-throughput non-radioactive RNA (mRNA or miRNA) in situ hybridization (RISH) on tissue sections. A unique high-throughput technology developed by the Core is used to determine gene expression patterns with an emphasis on tissues from rodent experimental models.

Core Services

The Core performs the following:

  • Collecting animal tissue specimens
  • Preparation of frozen sections
  • Preparation of mRNA probes from customer templates 
  • Conducting high-throughput ISH (chromogenic or fluorescent)
  • Cresyl Violet staining
  • Imaging using a slide scanner (Ziess Axioscan.Z1 - brightfield and fluorescence)

For human studies, customers must provide tissue sections.
