The physicians at our Pulmonary Hypertension Center have extensive backgrounds in pulmonology, cardiology and critical care medicine. This group contains board-certified specialists who care for pulmonary hypertension patients from the full range of causes – including genetic or unknown causes, being associated with congenital heart disease, being associated with chronic lung disease or bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), or having end-stage pulmonary hypertension with right ventricular dysfunction.

Our team can provide not only the cutting-edge medical therapies, and our affiliation with the Texas Children’s Heart Center provides access to some of the world’s top interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, providing access to both catheter-based diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as surgical palliations (pulmonary-to-systemic shunt creation, or reverse Potts shunt). Texas Children’s also has the largest pediatric lung transplantation program in the country, enabling us to offer all therapies to patients with pulmonary hypertension at any stage of illness.
