Health Professionals For Nursing Professionals

Overview

Nearly 13,000 employees and medical staff comprise the Texas Children’s family, and the largest part of the employee population is our team of more than 3,500 nurses. Whether specializing in pediatric or obstetrical nursing, inpatient or outpatient care, our nursing team is at the forefront of patient care.

They are the heart of Texas Children’s, ensuring every patient receives exceptional care and a positive patient experience every time they walk through our doors. From direct caregivers to executives, nurses at all levels across the system are leading and contributing to numerous hospital-wide initiatives and improving the quality of care we deliver to children and women.
As a Magnet designated organization since 2003, Texas Children’s nursing team continues to maintain the gold standard for nursing excellence and high quality patient care.  At Texas Children’s, nursing shared governance provides the structure and process for nurses to engage in decision-making that impacts their care delivery and work environment.
Our nursing team’s dedication and hard work, accomplishments and continued leadership, are helping to advance Texas Children’s mission and enhance the care we deliver to our patients and their families.
