The Voice of Nursingis a blog for and about Texas Children’s team of more than 3,500 nurses who provide care for children and women across the system. The blog showcases the stories behind the numbers and shares the compassion with which these nurses deliver care to children and women throughout Texas Children’s global community. Since Voice of Nursing launched in October 2014, the blog has garnered over 725,000 page views including page views from more than 143,000 users across 124 countries.
This summer, I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds for safe and quality health care for the women and children in Malawi, Africa.
