Adult Congenital Heart Program
We’ve helped children born with congenital heart disease (CHD) live longer, healthier lives by revolutionizing diagnosis and treatment. Adults living with CHD need expertise from a team that has expertise in both pediatric congenital heart conditions and adult-specific heart needs.
Cardiac Developmental Outcomes Program
Children who have undergone cardiac procedures during infancy and early childhood have a greater risk for motor delays, attention and behavioral challenges, and language and visual difficulties. We monitor for subtle signs to provide treatment as early as possible.
Cardiac Imaging Program
We provide specialized cardiac imaging for infants and children with congenital or acquired heart diseases and adults with congenital heart disease.
Cardiology
Texas Children’s Heart Center is recognized across the globe as a leader in the highly specialized field of pediatric cardiology, tailoring care to the needs of each individual family.

Our program brings together doctors, advanced practice providers, genetic counselors and nurses who offer lifelong care for families with heart conditions that may have a genetic cause.
Congenital Heart Surgery
Texas Children’s Heart Center is recognized across the world as a leader in the highly specialized field of pediatric congenital heart surgery and performs more than 1,000 surgical cardiac procedures each year with outcomes among the best in the nation.
Coronary Anomalies Program
We are dedicated to the diagnosis and management of anomalous aortic origin of a coronary artery (AAOCA), a cardiac abnormality present at birth in which the origin or course of a coronary artery from the aorta is atypical and, in some cases, carries a risk of sudden cardiac death.
Electrophysiology Program
Offering cutting-edge treatment for patients with heart rhythm abnormalities, the Electrophysiology Program is one of the nation’s highest volume pediatric centers for invasive electrophysiology studies and pacemaker/defibrillator implantations.
Fetal Cardiology Program
With our long history and high volume of patients we’ve had the privilege of treating over the years, we offer a rare level of expertise and experience in fetal cardiology.
Fontan Go! Program
Our program helps families navigate the Fontan procedure, a cardiac surgery that supplies blood to the lungs in children whose hearts have a single pumping chamber that supplies blood to the rest of the body.
Heart Failure Program
Our dedicated team of doctors, nurse coordinators and administrative personnel cares for more than 2,000 cardiomyopathy and heart failure patients, offering a variety of circulatory support devices as a bridge to transplantation.
Heart Transplant Program
Since its inception in 1984, Texas Children's Heart Center has become one of the largest and most successful heart transplant programs in the nation, performing more pediatric heart transplants than any other program nationwide. Our team of experts care for some of the world’s most complex transplants and still has outcomes that are superior to other programs.
Maternal Heart Program
The partnership between Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women and the Texas Children’s Hospital Heart Center team helps make pregnancies possible for women with heart disease. This innovative program optimizes safety and outcomes in these high-risk pregnancies.
Interventional Cardiology Program
There are an increasing number of heart conditions that can be treated with minimally invasive catheter-based interventions, and our program is the largest in the region, offering interventional cardiac catheterization for infants, children and adolescents.
Kawasaki Disease Clinic
Our clinic offers specialized care for children with Kawasaki disease, which causes inflammation in blood vessels throughout the body.
Preventive Cardiology Program
For children with a high risk of heart disease as adolescents or adults, our goal is to prevent future problems, such as heart attack and stroke, through early detection, education and intervention.
