Yliana Kennedy, MPAS, PA-C

Personal Statement

Yliana Kennedy, MPAS, PA-C is a certified physician assistant in the Department of Pediatric General Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is one of the several  Advanced Practice Providers who works with the surgery team to care for patients. Yliana is part of the Fetal micro Team with Dr. Keswani, Dr. Lee, Dr. Olutoye and Dr. King, and the Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) micro team with Dr. Mazziotti, Dr. Minifee, and Dr. Fallon. Her responsibilities include rounding and managing care for the Texas Children’s Fetal/MIS Surgical Team and the Surgical patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, seeing patients in the outpatient clinic setting, and assisting in the operating room. She has interests in all aspects of neonatal and pediatric general surgery to include congenital anomalies and fetal surgery.  

Yliana received her undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Texas at Austin. She then earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
