Mrs. Richards is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner at Texas Children’s Intestinal Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic in the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. She provides compassionate care to infant and children with general gastrointestinal and nutritional problems, with a special interest in short bowel syndrome and intestinal failure. Having witnessed the impact of gastrointestinal issues on these young lives. I am motivated to make a difference by combining clinical expertise with a nurturing approach and having a deep understanding of the unique challenges these children face through empathy, care coordination, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
Personal Statement
My goal is to not only address the medical complexities, but also to build trusting relationships, educate families on managing their child’s condition, provide holistic care, and enhance their overall well-being. I am committed to delivering evidence-based care that meets the evolving needs of my patients. Tanisha is also a co-investigator in a research trial in the areas of intestinal failure.
