Get to know Ruth M. Vaughan, MD
Dr. Vaughan’s clinical practice focuses on outpatient and inpatient care of fetuses, children and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. She sees patients at Texas Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Texas Children’s The Woodlands. She is also a member of the Texas Children’s echocardiography laboratory and routinely interprets fetal and pediatric echocardiography.
Personal Statement
My philosophy of practice is to provide the highest-quality, evidence-based care to my patients and their families. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as their physician. My goal is to educate and support patients through a new cardiovascular disease diagnosis and to treat them with the same compassion and dedication I would offer my own family.
Clinical Interests
Congenital heart disease, childhood acquired heart disease, general pediatric cardiology, fetal heart disease, transthoracic echocardiography, fetal echocardiography.
