Personal Statement
I believe in treating every patient with the compassionate, quality care that I would want for my own family. As critical care physicians, we are entrusted to take care of children and families during what is often the worst time of their lives. I am inspired daily to live up to that trust and provide the absolute best evidence-based, comprehensive care possible.
Clinical Interests
I am interested in exploring and expanding the integration of technology into medicine. This has inspired my interest in non-invasive and invasive ventilatory support and ECMO. I also am interested in the prevention and management of delirium and in increasing mobility in PICU patients to improve outcomes.

* Texas Children’s Hospital physicians’ licenses and credentials are reviewed prior to practicing at any of our facilities. Sections titled From the Doctor, Professional Organizations and Publications were provided by the physician’s office and were not verified by Texas Children’s Hospital.
Research interests
My research aims to embrace the inevitable merge of technology into our everyday lives. My ultimate goal is to use both current and emerging technologies to improve patient outcomes and the patient and provider experiences. Most recently, I have been investigating utilization of partially wireless pulse oximetry to reduce episodes of loss of signal integrity and false alarms secondary to motion artifact in pediatric subjects.
