Personal Statement

As an optometrist, Dr. Karson believes it is her job to do everything in her power to deliver the highest level of care while treating each patient as she would a friend or family member. “I always aim to approach ocular care of pediatric and special-needs patients as a compassionate provider, patient advocate and health care educator in order to provide the best care possible,” she says.   

Clinical Interests: 

• Pediatric optometry (strabismic/non-strabismic binocular vision disorders, amblyopia) 

• Brain injury and neurorehabilitation 

• Low vision 

• Special needs
