Get to know Nichole R. Davis, MD, MEd
Dr. Nichole Davis is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician with expertise in pediatric disaster preparedness, global health and medical education. She serves as Associate Director of Pediatric Disaster Preparedness for Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital and Program Director of the combined Pediatric Emergency Medicine–Global Health Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Davis is the Texas Children’s Hospital site principal investigator for the Gulf 7 Pediatric Disaster Network and co-leads its Education Domain. She also chairs the Pediatric Committee for the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council and contributes to national initiatives focused on improving pediatric readiness, disaster response and education for health care professionals.
Personal Statement
I believe the best pediatric care begins with listening; to children, their families and the people who know them best. A visit to the emergency department can be frightening and overwhelming, so I strive to provide calm, compassionate, evidence-based care while communicating clearly and involving families in decisions. I am especially passionate about ensuring that children receive high-quality care regardless of where they live or the circumstances surrounding their illness or injury.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, scuba diving, hiking and exploring national parks.
