Texas Children's Emergency Center, located in the Texas Medical Center at 6621 Fannin St., provides a complete range of services to the greater Houston community, treating children with both medical and surgical emergencies.

Texas Children’s Emergency Center, the largest pediatric emergency center in South Central Texas, has 53 beds, including shock trauma resuscitation beds, dedicated sexual assault examination room, and specialized isolation room. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

West Campus


The Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus (located at I-10 and Barker Cypress) treats more than 35,000 patients every year. Our 26-bed, dedicated pediatric emergency center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is staffed with board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatricians, and advanced practice practitioners.

We provide state-of-the-art pediatric emergency care for babies and children of all ages. With the help of child life specialists, family advocates, social workers, and interpreter services, we offer comprehensive, patient and family-centered care in a community setting.
