Dr. Pammi’s research focuses on neonatal infections and the microbiome. He has authored publications on microbiome studies in the neonatal population; cutaneous microbiome, a meta-analyses on neonatal intestinal microbiome in necrotizing enterocolitis and catheter biofilm microbiome signatures in central line associated bloodstream infections.
He is passionate about Evidence Based Medicine to improve health outcomes in children. He directs the ‘Evidence Academy’ a collaborative with Critical Care Medicine that teaches and disseminates evidence based medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital. He is the associate editor for the ‘Cochrane Neonatal’ and has authored many systematic reviews in the field of Neonatology most of which relate to prevention and treatment of neonatal infections.
