Personal Statement
When it comes to healthcare, I believe that each patient has unique circumstances that should be taken into consideration when establishing a plan of care. As healthcare providers, our mission is to arm patients with evidence based treatment options that afford them the knowledge and guidance to make the best possible decision for their particular circumstance. This is no truer than in the field of pediatrics, where parents want the best for their children and look to healthcare providers as a trusted source of guidance. To be viewed as that trusted source is the reason why I am in healthcare.
Clinical Interests:
Clinically, the majority of my experience and interest are in emergency medicine and procedural intervention in acute injuries. Since joining the surgical team, I have taken an interest in chest wall deformities, and am involved with the bracing clinic for pectus carinatum patients. At this stage in my career, my interests have evolved outside of the clinical realm to include the growth and development of other Advanced Practice Providers, with an emphasis on leadership, mentorship, and modeling the delivery of excellent patient care. Sports enthusiast, hobbies include: football, wrestling, and predictive sports analytics. I participate in sideline coverage at local high school football games in Spring/Aldine ISD.
