Get to know Mark C. Zobeck, MD, MPH
Dr. Mark Zobeck is passionate about caring for children with cancer and blood disorders. His goal is to care for the entire family, not only by treating the patient's illness but also by walking alongside families as a supportive human presence through the difficulties caused by disease.
Dr. Zobeck graduated with honors from medical school and completed his general pediatrics residency training and pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital, one of the top programs in the country.
Dr. Zobeck has a special interest in global pediatric hematology-oncology. The vast majority of children with blood disorders and cancer live in resource-limited countries, where death and other disease complications are extremely common. Dr. Zobeck believes that all children, regardless of where they live, deserve the best treatment possible for their disease. To address this problem, he researches how to overcome the barriers to providing high-quality care for complex diseases in low-resource settings.
