Following completion of a Pediatric Surgery Fellowship for Physician Assistants at Texas Children’s, Maahin Ahmed, PA-C joined the Surgical Hospitalist team at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. In her role as a Surgical Hospitalist, Maahin provides surgical subspecialty care for pediatric patients throughout the hospital. Her responsibilities include responding to surgical consultations in the emergency center, managing patients in the pre- and post-operative settings, first assisting in the operating room, and providing inpatient surgical care.
Maahin values working collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care for surgical patients and their families. She is committed to supporting children and empowering families through education and communication throughout the surgical experience.
