Personal Statement
Lisa Saba is a certified Genetic Counselor for the Vascular Anomalies Center at Texas Children's Hospital. She serves as a laboratory genetic counselor for the TCH Genomic Testing Stewardship Committee, working to increase the quality of patient care and patient safety through optimal utilization management of genomic testing.
Lisa also provides clinical genetic counseling services in the Vascular Anomalies Center. As part of the Vascular Anomalies team, she coordinates testing and counsels patients on genetic syndromes such as PIK3CA-related overgrowth spectrum, TEK-related venous malformations, PTEN-hamartoma tumor syndrome, Sturge Weber, capillary-malformation arteriovenous malformation, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, and familial cerebral cavernous malformation. She is passionate about patient education along with providing support for families throughout their diagnosis.
