With over 10 years of experience in pediatric emergency medicine at Texas Children's Hospital, Laurin has dedicated her career to providing high-quality care in a high-volume Level I trauma center. She began her journey as a registered nurse before advancing her practice and transitioning into the nurse practitioner role in 2021.
Throughout her career, Laurin has been recognized for her strong clinical expertise, leadership and passion for education and team development. In addition to caring for critically ill and injured pediatric patients, she has served as the APP Educator, where she has played an instrumental role in onboarding, mentoring and supporting new providers and students within the emergency center.
Now serving as Clinical Lead I, Laurin is committed to fostering collaboration, promoting professional growth and supporting initiatives that enhance both patient care and team culture. She is passionate about creating a positive work environment where team members feel supported, empowered and motivated to provide exceptional care to every patient and family.
Personal Statement
As an Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner, I am deeply committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based emergency care to patients and their families in fast-paced and often stressful situations. I strive to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care through active listening, clear communication and meaningful engagement. I understand that emergency medicine requires not only quick clinical decision-making, but also empathy and reassurance during vulnerable moments. I believe health care is a collaborative partnership, and I work to ensure each patient and family feels heard, supported and involved in their care.
