Personal Statement
I am a physician assistant experienced in trauma and the surgical intensive care unit, where I have developed a strong clinical foundation in managing critically ill and complex surgical patients. Working in these high-acuity environments has shaped my ability to think quickly, communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care during some of the most vulnerable moments in a patient’s life.
My experience in trauma and SICU has fostered a deep appreciation for the continuum of surgical care – from initial stabilization to discharge and follow up. This has driven my passion for optimizing patient outcomes at every stage. I take pride in my ability to remain calm under pressure, adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations, and support both patients and their families with clarity and empathy.
As a surgical hospitalist, I am excited to build on this foundation by contributing to the ongoing care of surgical patients in the inpatient setting. I am committed to continuous learning, collaboration, and delivering high-quality care that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and positive patient experiences.
