Karrianna Yu, PA-C

Karrianna Yu is an Otolaryngology Surgical Hospitalist at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. She focuses on providing pediatric comprehensive management for children with ear, nose and neck conditions for which she plays an integral role in delivering comprehensive care for children. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care, supporting patients and their families through evaluation, treatment and ongoing follow-up.

Prior to specializing in Otolaryngology, she spent for 10 years as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Texas Children’s Hospital Medical Center. This valuable experience provided a strong foundation in managing a diverse patient population with both acute and chronic medical conditions, further enhancing her ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across clinical settings.

Personal Statement

As a Physician Assistant in Otolaryngology, I am deeply committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to my patients and their families. I view health care as a collaborative partnership, emphasizing shared decision-making to ensure that families feel informed, supported and empowered throughout their child’s care. I approach each patient and family as individuals, prioritizing compassionate, personalized care that aligns with their unique needs and goals. In the pediatric otolaryngology setting, I recognize that hospitalizations can be particularly stressful — especially when families are unexpectedly faced with the possibility of surgery, whether emergent or planned. With this in mind, I strive to provide thoughtful guidance, clear education and emotional support. By helping families understand their child’s diagnosis and treatment options, I foster trust and confidence, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
