Get to know John West, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC
John West CPNP-AC, is a Nurse Practitioner who leads the team of Critical Care Advanced Practice Providers for the Texas Children's Hospital North Austin Campus. He believes in delivering outstanding care to critically ill children and their families using a multi-disciplinary team approach. He is an advocate for advanced practice providers in the critical care environment and serves as a clinical preceptor to NP students rotating in the PICU.
In addition to his clinical practice, John maintains an active role in critical care business operations.
Personal Statement
I am honored and privileged to serve the Austin area as a Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider for Texas Children's Hospital North Austin Campus.
Having a critically child is a tremendously stressful and difficult time for a family. I endeavor to ease that path using clear and compassionate communication. I believe the best care and outcomes are delivered through a collaborative approach that includes the expertise of all available team members and input from the families and patients.
