Get to know Jara Crear, MD
Dr. Jara Crear is fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Her clinical interests include comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology including medical and surgical management of strabismus, amblyopia, nasolacrimal obstruction, cataracts and glaucoma. She also enjoys treating adults with strabismus.
Dr. Crear is also a member of many professional societies including the National Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) where she serves as a mentor to medical students entering the field of Ophthalmology.
Personal Statement
My patient philosophy is to provide attentive, personalized, quality care with special consideration of my patient’s background, resources and individualized needs. In my free time, I enjoy biking, running, spending time with family and cooking creole cuisine. I am a former Junior Olympic gymnast and collegiate pole vaulter and long jumper, and I enjoy discussing all things related to sports and outdoors.
