Get to know Jamie L. Zagozewski, PhD
Dr. Jamie Zagozewski is dedicated to the study of medulloblastoma, the most common malignant pediatric brain tumor. Medulloblastoma is a disease of early brain development and tumors arise when primitive cells stall during developmental processes. Using multidisciplinary approaches, Dr. Zagozewski’s research examines the cellular and molecular mechanisms that propagate the aberrant primitive state of medulloblastoma. By understanding these molecular mechanisms, new therapeutic interventions may be generated to directly target these tumors, alleviating the toxic effects of traditional therapies and leading to improved quality of life for children with this disease.
Dr. Zagozewski’s work in this field has led to several publications including in Nature Cell Biology, Communications Biology , and Nature Communications.
