Get to know Jacob C. Smith, MD
As a former pediatric urology patient myself, I understand the vulnerability that caregivers feel when their child has an illness. It is extremely important to me to ease their anxiety through open communication and providing high-quality, evidence-based care. I strive to create a friendly and comforting environment for all patients so that caregivers recognize that I value every child's health as if it was my own child.
Dr. Smith’s clinical interest range from general pediatric urology care to complex genitourinary reconstruction for patients with neurogenic bladder. He also specializes in robotic and minimally invasive urologic surgery as well as endoscopic stone surgery. As a former pediatric urology patient himself, he has a unique perspective and utilizes this to advocate for both patients and their families. He is passionate about providing high-quality care for all patients, and he strives to have open and collaborative communications with patients, their families, and primary care providers. Dr. Smith is excited to be back in the community as a provider to care for the children of the region.
