Dr. Hatel Moonat is a full time faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes both benign hematology and general oncology, with a special interest in pediatric solid tumors.

Hematology conditions treated by her include: abnormal newborn screens, anemias, hemoglobinopathies and low white blood cell and platelet disorders. General oncology conditions which she treats include both solid and liquid tumors. She is currently a member of the multidisciplinary solid tumor team at Texas Children's Hospital Cancer and Hematology Center.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Moonat has a personal interest in medical education of trainees. She also has a passion for providing palliative care in a community based setting.
