Hannah Thompson, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant with the Department of Surgery at Texas Children’s West Campus where she uses her specialized skills in inpatient pediatric surgical care in a high-acuity hospital setting. She manages surgical consultations and inpatient surgical patients across multiple subspecialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology and otolaryngology. Her role includes performing bedside procedures and supporting comprehensive perioperative care. She also serves as a surgical first assist.
Hannah utilizes evidence-based practices and strong clinical judgment to manage acute and chronic conditions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. She serves as a key liaison for patients and families, ensuring clear communication and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Personal Statement
I’m passionate about caring for children and providing patient-centered, evidence-based care to both my patients and their families. I know surgery can be stressful, so I strive to create a supportive, reassuring environment through empathy and clear communication.
My favorite part of my job is comforting kids and seeing them feel better. I love building connections with my patients and their families and working closely with the surgical team to give each child the best possible care. It’s truly an honor to be part of their healing journey.
