Get to know Erika Fisher, DNP, MSN, RN
Dr. Erika Fisher is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in operations and health care administration. As a women’s specialized nurse, she has led numerous Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women departments including Baylor Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, The Women’s Place and The Family Fertility Center.
Dr. Fisher has also led Federally Qualified Health Care (FQHC) systems as an executive, in driving operational and financial-based strategies. Prior to joining Texas Children’s Hospital, she provided leadership and oversight of the largest FQHC in Texas at its largest multi-service center in South Houston, overseeing 16 service lines/specialty areas.
As a US Air Force veteran, she has also supported various global missions resulting with recognition of over 12 military medals during her 11 years of military service.
As a dedicated health care leader, I am passionate about improving the quality of patient care and the overall efficiency of health care systems. My journey in health care leadership began with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and has evolved into a comprehensive understanding of the industry’s complexities. I thrive in dynamic environments, where I can collaborate with diverse teams to drive innovative solutions that enhance patient outcomes and streamline operations.
My leadership philosophy centers on empowering teams to achieve their full potential, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and leveraging data-driven insight to make informed decisions.
