Get to know Elsa G. Brieno, MD
Dr. Brieno was born in San Antonio and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Dulles High School in Stafford and then received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.
Dr. Brieno attended medical school at the University of Texas at Houston and then completed her pediatric residency in Austin at Brackenridge Hospital. From there she entered private practice in Austin where she has enjoyed being part of the lives of many families for over 20 years.
Dr. Brieno’s volunteer opportunities have included working with the Volunteer Health Clinic for 9 years, as well as working with the International Medical Corp in a Macedonian refugee camp after the Kosovo war during the summer of 1999. She enjoys spending time with her son, gardening, and ballroom dancing.
