Dr. Klinepeter is currently an Assistant Professor in the Section of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is also a licensed psychologist and board certified behavior analyst. Dr. Klinepeter specializes in evidence-based assessment and treatment of significant behavioral concerns, particularly in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Klinepeter provides inpatient psychological services to children and adolescents who are admitted for acute behavioral crises or who present with aggressive and disruptive behavioral concerns in the context of a medical admission. Her areas of expertise include autism spectrum disorder, intellectual/developmental disabilities, applied behavior analysis, and caregiver behavior management training. She uses evidence-based practices when delivering care including conducting functional behavior assessments, providing behavior analytic interventions, and implementing parent management training. She also emphasizes collaboration with families, healthcare providers, and community-based providers to meet the multi-faceted needs of patients. In addition, Dr. Klinepeter conducts diagnostic evaluations for autism spectrum disorder.

Research interests
Dr. Klinepeter’s research interests align with her clinical interests and are applied in nature. Her ongoing research includes investigation of parent/caregiver experiences with inpatient behavioral health care, development and evaluation of medical staff behavioral health training, adaptation of behavior analytic procedures to the inpatient care environment, and implementation of novel behavior analytic procedures.
