Research interests
Dr. McKay’s prior experience includes a broad practice of anatomic pathology including pediatric surgical pathology, perinatal autopsy and placental pathology. Her ongoing research focuses on placental characteristics in cases of Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome and the diagnosis/characterization of placental mesenchymal dysplasia. In her current role as Division Chief of Community Pathology and Medical Director at Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands, she is focusing on the delivery of pathology services in the community setting.
