Get to know Edwin Welsh, PA-C
Edwin Welsh, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant within the Department of Pediatric Urology at Texas Children’s Hospital. Edwin is a native of Jackson, MS. He received his undergraduate education from Lewis University and a Master of Science in Medicine from Mississippi College.
Edwin has always had a passion for pediatric medicine. After graduation, he completed the Surgical Physician Assistant Fellowship Program here at Texas Children’s Hospital where he found a specific interest in pediatric urology. As a member of the advance practice provider team, Edwin helps to provide comprehensive patient and family centered urologic care. He works closely with a group of urologic surgeons and other advanced practice providers in the inpatient setting, outpatient setting, and in the operating room.
Conditions that he commonly treats include: testicular problems, foreskin problems, daytime wetting, nighttime wetting, and urinary tract infections. He also works closely with the Colorectal and Pelvic Health Clinic. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
